Global food suppliers gathered in Shanghai
The 21st edition of FHC China in Shanghai and the 5th edition of ProWine China will take place from 14-16 November 2017 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre covering 8 halls more than 85,000sqm. Every year the shows attract more participants, include manufacturers and traders of every type of food and beverage from all over the world. This year is no exception. FHC China 2017 will be the largest exhibition in the show’s 22 year history in China. With only two months remaining before the show, 73,500sqm of hall space or 7 halls, have been confirmed for 2,350 participants from 73 countries and regions this year. While FHC is for suppliers of food and beverages including beer, tea and coffee, separately, but alongside, will take place ProWine China, the specialist exhibition for wine and spirits. At ProWine, visitors will have the opportunity to meet 650 companies from 37 countries representing every major wine growing region of the world.
 
Demand for imported foods, more Chinese investors are concerning the imported food market, in the year of 2016, China imported food from 187 countries or regions, among them, the top 10 regions were: European Union, ASEAN, America, New Zealand, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Russia, South Korea and Chile, occupying a total value of 38.03 billion dollars which accounted for 81.6% of the total value; the imported food categories almost covered all kinds of global excellent foods. Meat, aquatic products, grease and oil, dairy products, grain and products, wine, sugar, beverage, dry nuts and pastry and biscuits are the main imported categories, with a total value of 43.32 billion dollars, which accounted for 92.9% of the total value. Till today imported foods can be easily found in most retail stores, restaurants, hotels, and online from B2B and B2C platforms. Chinese buyers increasingly want the quality offered by imported foods and are prepared to pay a higher price for it. FHC is definitely a proven platform to present the high quality products and establish the contacts with the domestic traders, importers, distributors and retailers with the global food suppliers.

For just three days only in November, FHC China 2017 is open for trade visitors only. FHC China 2017 has attracted 39 regional and National pavilions, the largest this year is from Italy, occupying over 1,000 square metres with more than 60 companies offering unique national food products. The next biggest pavilions are from USA; Canada; Turkey; Spain and Korea respectively. FHC also includes participation from individual companies including many leading brands and food traders such as Mission Food, McCain, Shanghai Moli, Guangzhou Guanyi, Landun Xumei, Yihua&Hela, Baby Star, Shanghai McCormick, Hormel, Lamb Weston, Bunge, Suzhou Ovodan, Aviko, Mankattan, Rong Mai Yi Tong, Aigere, Beijing Top Filer, Shenzhen Tomtao, Beijing Ziweitianxing, Greeland, Fonterra, Beijing H&G, Kingblog and Namchow, Sunjoy, Morinaga, Hihio-Art, OSI, Bester Foods, PMI, Tyson, WMF, CINO MESETA and more. All companies showcasing quality imported products including hospitality equipment; snacks; nuts; spices; canned and fresh foods; coffee beans and machines; dairy products; beverages; confectionary; jams; pasta; meat & seafoods; frozen foods; chocolate and much more.
 
Events at FHC China designed to attract targeted groups of trade buyers will again be a feature of the exhibition. The 19th FHC Culinary Arts Competition, endorsed by WACS, World Association of Chefs Societies will include a record 850 chefs and Judged by more than 90 WACS endorsed chefs. The All China Bakery Association Congress will again take place at FHC China 2017. Over 1,000 delegates including manufacturers of bakery products and ingredients, importers and distributors will attend the annual meetings on 14-15 November 2017. The WBC coffee event will first year held alongside at FHC China this year, the Shanghai session of the brewing and barista competition will take place in East Hall 7 as well as latte competition organized by Coffee t&I magazine. For the wine and spirits community and taking place in neighbouring halls a “world of wine and spirits” awaits trade visitors at the ProWine China 2017 exhibition, including wine seminars, master classes and the ProWine Champagne Lounge.
