Uncorking the potential of the China wine market

China's demand for wine has grown at an exponential rate over the past decade. Today, China is the 9th largest wine market by volume. In the first 5 months of 2008 China imported 84.89 million litres of wine, an increase of 10.3% y-o-y and in values terms China's wine market increased to US$310 million, up a massive 49.1% y-o-y. The value of China's wine imports is expected to reach US$870 million by 2017.

Wine & Spirits China 2012 offers wine makers, importers, distributors and buyers a dedicated event for their industry at FHC China 2012.
FHC China, taking place for its 16th edition,14 - 16 November 2012 in Shanghai is the largest, longest running and most international trade exhibition for the food & wine industries in China. 98% of all exhibitors are international companies or agents of international companies. The dominant wine countries on show included: Australia; Austria; Cyprus; France; Germany; Greece; Italy; New Zealand and Spain.

Judged by professional Chinese and guest Sommeliers with awards presented on 14th November 2012.
